Case study 2

Two storey rear flat roof extension.

This charming cottage with a beautiful outlook needed lots of work, the client purchasing a cold damp property with a dilapidated rear veranda, rotting floors and poorly designed two storey rear flat roof extension.

The clients, being a young couple wanted a warm efficient home to bring their family up in. We surveyed the whole property inside and out and provided three design schemes that where tweaked by the client to create their ideal family home.

A sympathetic design was required to keep the character of the cottage whist modernising the layout. A bathroom and en-suite to the first floor with a additional bedroom.

Modern open plan living to the rear with the additional of a utility room and cloakroom. Careful choice of materials and a good builder created this stunning cottage.

Planning and Building Control drawings where completed by DMH with a consultant structural engineer onboard also.
